  • Pay Attention to Skills. Research multiple job descriptions for the same role. If you compare the skills they are asking for against the skills you possess you will know exactly where you can improve!
  • Find Your Target Company In The News. Use the article as a topic of discussion when interviewing.
  • Look For Feedback. Take feedback seriously and seek it out whenever possible! This will help during any stage of your career.
  • Research the Industry. Researching the company you are applying for is required. Researching its industry gives you an edge!
  • Warm Up Your Network. Be sure to reach out to key contacts! Keep yourself fresh in their minds!
  • Specialize, Don't Generalize. You will get hired based both on your strengths and your professional interests, not the concepts you are simply familiar with.
  • Know Your Objectives. Is it a Promotion? Lateral Move? Total Career Change? Relocation? The answers will lead you to the right opportunities!
