
Major Financial Services Firm: Quality Assurance and Stress Testing
Challenge
This global financial services firm created an on-line trading portal that provided a common front-end and design to all clients. The site provided single sign-on, user authentication, and entitlement to the firm’s principal back-end systems to provide clients with account information, research, offerings, and transactional capabilities.
Starpoint was asked to create and provide the entire quality assurance (QA) and stress testing function for this application.
Solution
The Starpoint team put the application through a rigorous quality assurance process that detected over 300 defects. Starpoint:
- Conducted careful and detailed stress and functional testing for all components of the application
- Produced detailed analysis and reports for each phase
- Provided a technical writer to edit and format existing documentation and develop the user manual
