Application Development

Starpoint built an automated Site Builder application so Schering-Plough’s drug brand managers could easily build and maintain their product Web sites. Using the Site Builder application, Schering-Plough successfully maintains over 100 global sites, both intranets and external internet sites. To support the rapid growth of the application’s acceptance and use, Schering-Plough worked with Starpoint to port the application to an environment that was fully-clustered and load-balanced.

For a university in New York, Starpoint implemented the full Oracle|PeopleSoft Financials, HCM, & Campus Solutions, which is one of Oracle‘s largest University global implementations spanning 23 Universities with over 500,000 students. Starpoint managed all ERP testing.

SOX Compliance

Starpoint provided automated monitoring of control exceptions within and across Siemens’ systems. Starpoint analyzed Siemen’s business processes, ERP applications, and other legacy systems to assure user security and avoid control violations, and meet Siebel’s SOX compliance programs. Starpoint designed and implemented Segregation of Duties (SoD) rules, identity management and provisioning, and compensating controls. For one Siemens unit, an audited uncovered 36,000 conflicts, which were quickly resolved.
